The first
thing to look at is the pH level and the number of plates installed in the
ionizers. This is one of the main aspects because the output i.e purity of
alkaline water depends on the number of plates inside. There are many ionizers
available which produce water within pH range of 2 to 12. Normally, a
water ph balancing equipment has 7 to 9 plates. Most people tend not to compare the plates but it is a serious thing because more plates increase the surface area which improves the water ionization. Better ionization means lower pH of acidic water. Generally these ionizers are built in China, USA and Taiwan.

Raja Electric’s
L520 model from China is one of the cheapest ionizers which have 8 plates
installed. The process starts with the water filtration after which the water
passes through the electrolysis chamber where it is treated with negative and
positive electrodes. The water that comes out is either acidic or alkaline
depending upon the use of consumer. One of the two comes out of the machine’s
front area the other one goes out from the drain.

What about the DDI technology? No plates, one disc, and out preforms old plate technology?
